Late Tuesday night, Tesla Motors held a special event where they unveiled the latest addition to their line-up of electric cars – the Model X. Unlike their Model S sedan, this time around it is a full size SUV. The Model X is rated as “the safest SUV” — earning five stars in every safety category. Meaning if you were involved in an accident, you would have a lower than 10% chance of sustaining an injury. Other features include a camera, radar, and sonar system to offer drivers with real-time feedback to avoid collisions, eliminating viruses and pollution through medical grade filters, and falcon wing doors for the rear seats! The company is now taking reservations of $5,000 USD for a 2016 release.
